Strawberry and cream swiss roll

Ingredients

250 g Strawberries - sliced
3/4 cup Flour
1/2 tsp Vanilla
3 tbsp Sugar - powder
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Strawberry Jam
3 Eggs - separated
1 cup Whipped Cream

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar gradually until it dissolves. Add egg yolks and vanilla and beat until mixture is thick. Add flour and 2 tbsp hot water and stir well.
  2. Butter a 22 x 35 baking sheet and cover with buttered waxed paper. Pour mixture on paper and even surface well. Bake in preheated oven (200 C) for 10 minutes.
  3. Put a slightly wet towel or piece of cloth on a smooth surface. Cover with a waxed paper. Invert cake over paper and remove the waxed paper that it was baked with. Trim the edges.
  4. Roll cake quickly using the towel as a guide. Cover with towel until completely cooled.
  5. Unroll cake and spread jam all over cake. Spread ½ cup whipped cream over jam and cover with strawberry slices. Roll cake again quickly leaving out the waxed paper.
  6. Move Swiss roll to a serving platter and sprinkle powdered sugar on the surface. Garnish with strawberries and whipped cream flowers.

1. You have to roll cake quickly right after you get it out of oven.
